Keimpe the Crocodile gets excited about encouraging children (4 to 8 years old), their parents and teachers to choose Frisian books and stories. Reading and telling stories in Frisian gives value to Frisian as a native and second language. Hooray for multilingualism and all its benefits!
The Keimpe stories are about the children Eef, Hidde, Mia, Rins, Sef and Silke and about the cat Maus and the dog Jep. They experience very special and very ordinary adventures together in the village of Terpsyl. The stories are written by the Keimpe workgroup. A group of five enthusiastic writers. Aart Cornelissen makes the most beautiful and appropriate illustrations. On the right you will find two stories that I wrote for Spoar 8.
